Our proprietary genotyping technology known as KASP™ (Kompetitive Alelle Specific PCR) was developed by our inhouse scientific team to drive down costs in our genotyping service laboratories and allow the development assays to target difficult SNPs and InDels. There are two components required for a KASP assay. Both components are needed to be run the KASP technology.
KASP Primer mix
Specific to the SNP or InDel to be targeted consisting of two competitive forward primers and one common reverse primer. Two options are available for the primer design KASP by Design - KBD (in-silico validation only) and KASP on Demand - KOD (an optimised primer set guaranteed to perform in your lab just as it does in ours).
KASP Master mix
containing the universal fluorescent reporting dyes, the enzyme, buffer and dNTP's.
